This program protects confidential files while compressing them to save space. If the same password is to be used for consecutive files, it only has to be typed once for each additional file. Encrypted files are hidden and do not show up in the standard explorer file lists. An icon is displayed in the system tray on the Today screen whenever an encryption or decryption dialog is open. This allows the user to quickly switch back to Crippin to complete the process and ensure that confidential data is not left unencrypted.
